The North Stifford Village Community Group was
formed in November 2007 following two public meeting
held in the same year, where residents raised
concerns about local issues. The aims and objectives
of group constitution are to,
-
Improving the general environment and amenities
for North Stifford residents and to promote the
provision of adequate facilities to meet the
communities needs and raise their quality of
life.
-
To strengthen local networks
and develop constructive and effective
partnerships between local people/groups and
partner/statutory agencies.
-
Raise funds, invite and
receive contributions from any person or
organization by way of grant or donation for the
mutual benefit of the North Stifford village.
-
To provide a link to the
Chafford 100 Community Forum and ensure that
North Stifford achieves funding for local
initiatives.
The group meets
regularly to discuss and take forward the issues and
ideas already presented by villagers at the previous
public meetings. So far we have made good links with
various networks such as the police, local
government departments and funding organizations
etc;. We have acquired funding for two notice boards
and they are situated:- One outside the Village Hall
and the other on the green at Stifford Green.
Information applicable to residents has already been
posted on the notice boards and the committee will
keep it updated.
Plus a
planter which is situated at the south entrance to
the village.
The
Village Sign was
installed on 1st July 2011
