The
Tin Hut Youth Theatre
was started for kids between the ages of
twelve and eighteen.
This voluntary fun group is at
present run by two helpers who have enhanced CRB disclosures.
Based at North Stifford Village Hall, High
Road, North Stifford, Thurrock, they
rehearse every Tuesday evening from 7 p.m.
to 9 p.m.
The mission of the club is to get local
teenagers off the streets and involved in
drama and the theatre. As well as acting,
members learn about set design, make-up,
lighting, sound and all the backstage stuff
too. There are always roles to be filled as
well as lot's of walk on parts for the more
nervous.
The Tin Hut Youth Theatre is also a proud
supporter of The Make A Wish Foundation, a
charity which tries to grant wishes to sick
children. They feel it's a nice idea to have
kid's helping kids, and a percentage of
ticket sales go to the charity.
